FAQs

WHAT IS THE MUSIC POLICY?

We play THE HITS. So long as it was released or made a significant cultural impact post 1990 we’ll probably play it.

As Sophie-Ellis Bextor once sang: “It’s a mixed up world.” Push The Button reflects our broad love of pop.

DO I NEED TO BUY A TICKET?

It depends. We’ll always make available a number of queue-jump tickets for each event (available to buy from the ‘TICKET SHOP’ page) – on particularly popular nights we can pre-sell as much as 95% capacity, meaning that if you turn up without a ticket you might have to queue.

But it depends on the time of the year, the theme, external factors, etc… sometimes you can waltz straight in without a ticket, other times you’ll have to queue around the block. Our best advice is that if you want to come then buy a ticket! It makes getting in a whole lot quicker, guarantees you entry and costs the exact same as it would on the door (bar the 60p booking fee).

DO I HAVE TO DRESS-UP?

Not at all. But you’ll have more fun if you do!

Each Push The Button is themed, and a lot of our regulars enjoy dressing to reflect that theme – it’s part of the fun. Check out our facebook page to see pics of previous events.

WILL YOU PLAY… ?

We’ve played everything from Azealia Banks to the Brookside Theme, from Enya to ODB, from the Vengaboys to The Little Mermaid. We encourage people to tweet their requests to @PTButton

We’re not so crazy about current chart pop, so if you’re expecting to hear the latest Rihanna or Rita Ora, well… there’s a nice Weatherspoons just down the road.

I GOT DRUNK AND LOST MY PHONE/WALLET/DIGNITY

This happens from time to time. Please call the RVT on 020 7820 1222. They’re a really good bunch of people who often look after items that get handed in.
